Distinguishing Features of the Class: The work involves responsibility for installing, maintaining,·testing and repairing a variety of microcomputers and related electronic equipment in a suburban school district. Work is performed with a considerable degree of technical independence; the incumbent is instructed only as to the nature and location of services needed. Work is subject to review and inspection by a higher level school district employee. Supervision may be a responsibility of the incumbent depending on specific assignments. Does related work as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications: Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field, OR an equivalent combination of training and experience. Minimum 3 years' experience in IT support of a multi-user environment. Strong troubleshooting skills, excellent attention to detail, driven to learn/improve skills, team-oriented, outstanding customer service, effective oral and written communication skills. Expertise with Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems.
