Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and attend to student and staff health needs, including the ability to check vital signs and operate general and specialized medical equipment when needed;
• Administers first aid to students and staff, as needed;
• Maintain health records and state-mandated immunizations, exams, and screenings;
• Dispense medication and monitor the health conditions of students with medical conditions;
• Communicate with school nurses, staff, parents, and physician offices regarding studenthealth needs; and
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Qualifications: Registered School Nurse must be a professional nurse registered in the State of New York. Possession of the license must be available at the time of appointment. Must be AED & CPR certified.
